Weekend Wrap Up!
if you aren't from here - then i hope you are reading this from some place warmer.
and without snow.
we were supposed to get a TON of snow - and PTL we didn't.
but still enough for everyone to freak.
i took the plunge and made the drive to work today.
took me a little over an hour and twenty minutes.
but i made it #dedication #orcrazy #somethinglikethat
anyways - on to the weekend.
S&H went to their dad's house friday to spend a little bit of valentine's day with him.
jon had to work that night and lacie's fiance phil had to work too.
so we met up and had drinks at the winery.
we talked about her wedding plans a bit and then just caught up on everything else.
it was super nice.
our old softball coach bought a bottle of wine for us - it was so sweet!
i got home, facetimed the kids and i believe i was sleeping by 9;30.
saturday morning when jon got home we headed out to grab an early morning breakfast before he went to sleep and i went to run errands.
country kitchen was serving up heart-shaped pancakes.
jon of course got his usual; but i couldn't pass them up.
i spent the rest of my morning cleaning, running to target and signing stella up for tumbling.
i am excited for her. let's pray we have a little more success than we did with soccer. lol.
picked up the kids that afternoon and came home to our valentine's day presents from jon.
funny cards and pretty flowers.
jon let stella pick the restaurant she wanted to eat at for the night.
she of course chose applebees.
so we headed to waterloo, hardly had a wait, and enjoyed dinner together.
once we got home, the boys got comfy in front of the tv.
and we went upstairs to "play" which turned into stella telling me to get my workout clothes on.
so we did some workouts and worked off all that dinner.
by time we got downstairs it was time for jon to head to work.
so we said goodbye to him, cuddle on the couch and watched tarzan.
stella made it maybe 10 minutes, henry was still wide awake at 10:30.
lol - that boy loves him some tv.
sunday morning we had an emergency.
we were out of coffee.
i called nana and she came to our resuce.
and then next thing, my dad called and invited us to breakfast.
turns out i didn't even need to make coffee at home. lol.
so we got out of the house and let jon get some much needed sleep.
once we were done with breakfast S&H wanted to ride in papa's truck.
so he took the kids, an i went home and enjoyed a nice relaxing bath.
ahhhhh - about an hour later everyone was HAPPY! lol.
we spent the rest of the morning playing at home and hanging out.
we headed to jon's niece's birthday party around 2:00 and then back home after that because we had some big stuff planned.
stella was FINALLY going to meet our neighbor's new baby!!
she sat holding baby Avery for a good ten minutes not saying a word.
she LOVED it!
henry wouldn't hold her - but he did give her a kiss goodbye on her forehead.
we headed back home and got to enjoy something we NEVER get to enjoy.
and entire night with jon!!
he has now moved to seconds and no longer has to work sunday nights!!
PTL!!
so we made some shrimp scampi, had some beers, and enjoyed a nice sunday night of everyone being together and AWAKE!!
the perfect ending to our valentine's day weekend!
