Weekend Wrap Up

hello 2012!!
hope everyone enjoyed their longggggg weekend.
i am super refreshed and ready to kick off the new year.
goal of 2012 - be happy.
and do whatever i need to do to make that happen.
ready.  set.  go.
on a totally random note a radio station i listen on to the way to work counts mattresses and ladders that you find in the road every year.  the count for 2011 was like 68 mattresses and 50 some ladders.  my word people.  i do not get how this happens.  like seeing one shoe in the road.  i always look at that one shoe like i do not get it.  are you just driving around with your foot out of the window and your shoe flies off and so be it you just keep driving?  i mean hello, you need that shoe.  or are you just driving and you are like eff this shoe and you just chuck it out the window?
i do not get it.
anyways.....this has nothing to do with my weekend....
so i have a crazy hard time remembering what i did five days ago so i will try my best.
friday night was spent with the lukes eating applebees and cracking up at stella and landon.
goofy butts.
and holding my solid baby boy and feather baby layla.
my word you would never guess they are three weeks apart.
saturday was ck breakfast and then i really do not remember much else.  whoops.
josh had a wild hair up his butt mid life crisis to go buy a jeep.
but that didn't happen.
it was bittersweet though.
i mean i would love to have a jeep but the gas in that baby to drive it 42 miles one way, five days a week.
help me rhonda.  no way.
we aren't big NYE-ers.  it was a relaxing night of 2349582 episodes of Barney and some take out.
i made it to 11:00 and then to sleep i went.
sunday we were off to eat and start the day off with margs.
i mean hello, what's better than mags for brunch?!
nothing.
then we headed out on a jeep run.
doorless and topless.
two words - effing cold.
and of course i was sporting an ever so stylish look:
and so was our driver.
careful ladies, he's married.
and NOTHING beats a pair of reading glasses strapped to a jukebox.
my word - HILARIOUS!!
it was a fun day out with some people i haven't seen in awhile.
needless to say 2012 started off on a great note in so many ways ;)
monday josh was off to work and the kids were up at 5:00.
ptl for excedrin.
later that day i got some mommy/henry time in and it was perfect.
just him and i headed to his 4 month pictures at CB.
i seriously think that was one of the first times it was just me and him and i LOVED it.
aunt say-cee (lacie) got in some stella time and everyone was happy.
we finished off the night with some chili at my moms and an early night in bed.
hope everyone had a safe and happy new years weekend!!

Yay for some alone time with Henry! It's always a nice treat to get bonding time with just one kiddo. Can't wait to see pics! :) We're not big NYE'rs, either. When Eric and I were dating our night usually ended up at Walmart. Woo. Hoo.

Yay for one on one time with Henry, it's always nice.
We are gonna be one kid down on Saturday night, not sure what to do with ourselves. :)

That reminds me of a stand-up bit I heard Jerry Sinfield do once where he talks about how when a man straps a mattress to the top of his vehicle, he automatically gets all superman and uses one hand to drive and the other to help hold down the mattress through the window....because that one arm alone will help secure a mattress flapping in the wind going 70mph down a highway. lol!

I do not get it!!
