Weekend Wrap Up

Hope everyone survived the heat.  Wow-wee.  Hot, hot, hot.  Makes me wish we had a pool.  I mean we have the PERFECT backyard for an in ground pool, no joke.  Just need the like $30k to get one put in.  No biggie right?  Bahaha.  Someday.  Hubs are you reading this?  Birthday present?  Kidding.  But no joke we don't ever have to move if you get us one!!  Anyways, off track.  Back to the weekend.......
Friday night we were invited over to my Aunt and Uncle's house for my Aunt's AMAZING vegetable lasagna.  And oh.em.gee, she did NOT disappoint.  All fresh veggies from her garden, amazing sauce, ahhhhh.  Yeah she made three pans of it.  And no one was shy about their helpings.  There was some major PTL-ing going on.  lol.  We enjoyed the great company and had an awesome time.  My sister said that a lady she works with said that full moons are great nights to get rid of pacifiers.  I didn't think it was a bad idea, so we thought what the heck.  On the way home Stella fell asleep so we thought oh this is gona be great, no binky, lay her in bed, change her diaper and she will just be out.  Ha, that all went as planned until everyone was getting ready to go to bed and out from little misses room comes a wide awake baby girl.  Oh well, it was only 9:30 so I thought she can stay up for a bit.  She hung out in bed with us, until we quickly realized sleeping wasn't on the agenda for her anytime soon.  Needless to say when she was STILL up at 12:30 she could have WHATEVER she wanted, INCLUDING the binky.  Ha, I think the full moon backfired.  Ha.
Saturday morning Momma was TIRED.  But you guessed it, up bright and early at 7 a.m thanks for Ms. Stella.  So we cooked some breakfast and let Daddy sleep.  He thought since it was gona be hot as hell he would get an early start on mowing his grass.  And I don't think mowing your grass at 9:00 on a Saturday is crazy, but some people did.  Ha, always keeping it interesting in the neighborhood.  After the grass was done we got a wild hair to get some pants and paint some pots we had to dress up the porch.  Drew's in Evansville is always a great place to go for great plants.  Never disappoint.  $30 later and two cans of spray paint we were ready to go!
And of course I don't have a finished product picture of them next to the front door.  Of course!  Oh well, they really do look great.  I won't think you are a creeper if you drive past our house to check them out.  (Just make sure you wave to Stella, 9 times outa 10 if we are home she is sitting on the front porch waving to all the cars that go past.  lol.)  And no complains from the hubs for doing all the work.  YAY!  After that it was lunch time and we all headed in for lunch and a nice long (much needed) nap.  I made the mistake of waking Stella up for church and she wasn't the happiest person that's for sure.  She wanted Momma to stand with her the whole time.  And well, that's not really realistic in church.  So needless to say we spent a lot of time in the cry room.  Oh well.  Once we got home we enjoyed dinner and then decided to see what the bff was up to.  They were free so we packed up and headed to their house.  Landon and Stella played and played with little matchbox cars and we enjoyed some good quality gossiping catching up.
Ha, they are too cute.  I love the way Stella is looking at Landon in the middle picture.  True love.  hehe.  Landon decided he was tired and ready to go night night so he got nestled into bed with a movie and we headed home.
Sunday Katie and Kathy were coming to town to enjoy some CK breakfast for the first time.  They loved it!  Even though Katie was afraid it was going to be one of those experiences when outsiders walk into some place and the jukebox comes to a screeching halt.  Baha.  Hilarious.  And lucky for them CK doesn't have a jukebox.  They did get a little thrown off when they were asked how they liked their eggs cooked.  lol.  After breakfast we headed home and Katie, Kathy, Stella and I headed to Advance, MO to see the Limbaughs.  Stella wasn't a fan of the drive down there and it didn't help that Mommy missed the exit, whoops!  But we made it in two hours safe and sound.  So just how did Stella do when Mommy decided it was her turn to hold the new baby........
Disaster.  Ha.  Not a fan.  And seriously, pay NO attention to the giant elephant in the middle.  Yuck.  So Mommy had to hand the baby back over.  However she warmed up quick and when I went for a second attempt she was so much better.  She brought Rowan his blankie and pacifier.  It was cute.  And then decided to snuggle up next to us on the couch.  YAY!  Very proud and happy moment for Momma.  WHEW!!  About two hours in you could tell the new Momma of two was getting sleepy and so was Tyson so we packed up and headed home.  Stella was out in no time and slept the whole way home.  However, us  girls had a craving for some ice cream and Steak and Shake did NOT disappoint.  lol.  Once we got home we hung out around the house and made some dinner.  I finally got all of the baby boy clothes put away.
That's all newborn, 0-3 months and 3 month clothes hung up.  All the drawers are full of onesies, pants, socks, shoes, spit rags and blankies.  There is a lot of blue in there for sure!!  Being in the car all day must have worn Stella out because she cashed out by 8:30.  Happy Momma!!  So an early night it was for me.
Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Fun weekend! Oh my goodness, you'll have PLENTY of clothes for Henry! Haha. I'm sure you remember how fast they outgrow those itty bitty outfits. Makes me so sad when I look through the girls' things and see things they can't squeeze into anymore.

Oh, and yay for Krylon! :)
