It's Raining Men!

and I would say the "a" or "h" word, but it's Lent and us Catholics can't say that.  Man I remember growing up in Catholic grade school how if you slipped up and said the "a" or "h" word during Lent, someone was gona call you out on it, loud and proud.  lol.  So last night the storms rolled in.  Now, I am not one to freak out by the storms.  I would rather just go lay in my bed and go to sleep.  My husband on the other hand grabs every flash light he can find and insists we go downstairs.  (What a sissy!)  Kidding hubbie.  So anyways, we really didn't get hit until about 7:45.  Josh's brother and his wife were over for a visit.  Once the wind started whipping they thought they better get on the road back home.  No joke, the second they walked outa the house the sirens went off.  God had a different plan.  So they came back inside and we headed downstairs.  Now, let me explain to you my husbands thinking.  We HAVE to go downstairs, but it's ok to leave all the windows open, the front door open and the garage door.  Wait, what?!  No no no.  So who is the one who goes back upstairs to shut every thing, me.  lol.  Sometimes I look at him like, really, and you are almost 30?!?!  lol.  So we camped out down there for a good hour.  Stella and I played like it was just a normal day.  The booms and cracks of the light show outside didn't bother her one bit.  We were very fortunate to not lose power and since we recently switched to HTCs Ultimate Entertainment, which is basically their cable, we never lost TV either.  Which is a good thing because Josh's brother was checking the weather on his smart phone and while it was pouring rain and thundering and lighting, his phone said 88 and Sunny.  lol.  Once it was all said and done we headed back upstairs and everyone made it home safe.  And of course my husband was right back to opening all of the windows again.  I am thisclose to getting him a room downstairs.  It's a lot cooler down there and then Stella and I won't wake up with sore throats in the morning from it being 37 degrees in the house.  Hope you all survived the storm!!

I have no idea what the "a" or "h" words are, but since it's still Lent I'm assuming you can't tell me. Haha.

Your hubby sounds like he belongs in my family. :)

It was pretty scary! Brent is so calm, so when he said, go to the basement now, I knew he was serious! So we sat in a little room in the basement and waited out the storm. Then we went for a drive to see any damage, which there really wasn't any until driving through Walsh this morning! Glad you are all safe:)

We were eating dinner in the living room watching the news updates. Andy and Coco were standing at the front door watching it. I lit every candle in the house, but we didnt go downstairs or lose power at all.
He leaves the windows open over night??? We have the air on 73* at night and woke up freezing. It was 68* in the house this morning. Andy HATES the windows open.
