Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey folks!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  I had a little fight with some pregnancy sickness this weekend.  I have pretty much called her everything but a white girl, so let's hope she stays away.  Because she's not cool and totally not my friend.  Anyways, Friday night Josh and I had our lovie dovie Valentine's Day dinner.  The Luke's watched Stella and well, Stella did this:
Yeah, no big deal that I MISSED HER FIRST STEPS!
(And sorry that you have to watch this with your head cocked to the side).
So yeah needless to say I teared up like a little baby at dinner when I got this as a text.  I begged Kim to get her to stay up until we got there and she did.  And when I walked in the door, she walked right to me!  Eeeeee. I loved it!  YAY Stella!!  But soon after she was tired and over it and ready for some of this:
I promise I have NO IDEA what that binky thing is in her mouth.  I know I know, I said it would be gone by her 1st birthday.  Ugh, she ONLY gets it at night, pinkie promise!!
I worked at CK on Saturday and we said we were going to go to church but I decided to tackle Stella's closet instead.  Getting rid of all the 9 month stuff that doesn't fit and hanging up all the 18 month clothes from her birthday.  Her closet is packed full of 12 month, 12-18 month and 18 month clothing.
Then it was the Lukes turn to enjoy their Valentine's dinner and our turn to watch Landon.  Landon and Stella enjoyed a nice Valentines dinner of dog dogs (hot dogs) while watching Wedding Crashers with Josh and I.  Ha, I have no idea why but they were both glued to the TV.  But after the dog dogs were gone they were back to playing.  They play really good together, only here and there does Landon envision Stella as a football player and just randomly decides to tackle her to the ground.  But hey, Stella takes one for the team and doesn't shed a tear.  I think I freak out more than she does.
Sunday morning of course we were up bright and early at 7:00 and Stella said she really wasn't in the mood to eat at home and wanted to eat at CK.  So away we went.  She has such good ideas.  We were back home around 8:15 and getting ready for church.  Stella was SUPER cranky so her and I sat in the chair with her milk, yes, MILK (no more bottles!!) and before we knew it she was out like a light.  I thought perfect I have about 20 minutes to get ready and we will head to church.  Well, rule number one of having kids, DO NOT wake them when they are sleeping.  So 20 minutes passed, 30 minutes passed and we were needing to leave the house in about 5 minutes.  And she was still sleeping.  So we took a vote and letting the baby sleep won.  Good thing, because TWO and a HALF HOURS later, she woke up.  Abbie and I enjoyed an AMAZING walk outside while she slept.  Ahhhh, I'm hoping to get one of those in every day this week.  We had a few visitors and then Stella and I decided to head to get some shopping done.  Stella made herself comfortable in the back seat.....
Just enjoying a little Sunday Funday with my Apple Juice.  Can you rub my foot, please?
We wrapped up the weekend with Aunt Lacie coming over to hang out and watched the Grammys.
We were up and at them this Valentines Day morning with this cute little Valentine:
Heart breaker. <3

Oh my goodness, I don't know what I'd do if one of my kids took their first steps without me! Good thing they were able to get on on camera. Lock up all of your valuables, it's all over now mommy! :)

Your pacifier dilemma cracks me up, because I said the same thing about Evie before I knew Grace was coming along. I promise there's no such thing as the paci police, haha.
