SIRIUS Music

When we purchased our Escape last September it came with 6 free months of SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio.  I immediately fell in love.  Commercial free, 29389 channels, oldies, newies, Jimmy Buffet Radio, Martha Stewart Radio, a ton of foreign language stations, news, sports, you name it. I mean just the other weekend they had Reba Radio, hello, I could have slept in my car.  And I can program 30, yes 30 stations.  It's amazing!!  Well, it was really amazing for the first 6 months, once I got the bill in the mail to renew it and saw I need to sell my left arm to pay for it, it wasn't so amazing.  But as always I made it work, and coughed up the money to keep the music.  Sirius-ly (ha) it's addicting.  Once you have it, normal radio will never be the same.  Anyways, on to the point of this post.
So the other day driving home from work I thought, ok, there has got to be some Christmas music playing on one of these channels.  I was skimming through and came across it, Channel 003 - Contemporary Holiday Favorites, or as they like to call it, Holly.
It's a joke because the host, her name is Holly.  Anyways.  It was my lucky day because they just started playing it on Monday.  And yes, it won't stop until December 31.  Brace yourself people.  But what I wasn't ready for was the wide range of "Christmas Music" I would hear.  I mean don't get my wrong, I love this:
'N Sync Christmas like I told you before, is kind of a closet Christmas CD.  I truly only pull it out when I am home alone, or in the car by myself.  AND when it's dark outside so the neighbors or other people driving can't see my belting this at the top of my lungs.
And of course this is ALWAYS a must hear at Christmas:
ALVIN!!!!!  hahaha.  P.S. Can you totally see my driving down the road taking pictures with my cell phone of my radio?!!?  God only knows what other people were thinking.....
But did you know that TLC made a Christmas album?  Yes, like T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chilli.  No joke.
I honestly did not know that it was possible to rap this song.  But now a days, anything is possible.  Or at least back in 1992 it was.  Sorry TLC, stick to chasing waterfalls, and leave the Christmas music for others.  Maybe like Destiny's Child.  Yep, they did a Christmas album too.
And we can't forget about Hanson:
Made me feel like I was 13 again.  Did you know these brothers are STILL making music?
And if this kind of music isn't for you, don't worry you can channel up to Channel 004 and invite your Grandparents to ride along.  Lordy, this stuff is OLD.
I know I know, White Christmas is an all time great, but I would rather hear my man Alan Jackson sing it.
Also have you heard Taylor Swift sing Silent Night?  Ugh, don't do it to yourself.  I mean I love me some T. Swift but that girl butchered that song.  Some favs are, the whole Alan Jackson Christmas CD, anything George Strait (that guy could sign the telephone book and I would love it), Kenny Chesney's 'All I Want For Christmas is a Real Good Tan' and Faith Hill's 'Where are You Christmas.'  I will have to say that my all time favorite, and I haven't heard it on the radio yet, is Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Christmas.  Ahhh, holds a special place in my heart.  Ok, so does this post have any point at all?  No, but if you have SIRIUS XM radio and you love Christmas music, you can say you now have a little resource manual.  Wow, hopefully tomorrow I can pull something together better than this mess.

Kenny and Dolly Christmas is the BEST ever! And you can't forget Mariah's "All I Want for Christmas is You". Probably my second favorite song after the Kenny and Dolly cd!
