yesterday i was having me a day........

i was ALL over the place with emotions.  going 32498290 miles a minute with work (pulling city permits times 12).  no one likes to deal with the city.  ever.  work was just crazy.

i was still dealing with issues of a certain someone constantly talking about me.  and PMS is right around the corner.  i was PRETTY close to reaching in my desk drawer and pulling the marg bottle out.

this is my drawer of shame.  or maybe my PMS drawer.  two boxes of cookies.  some poptarts.  some peanut butter.  a wine glass  and yes, an unopened bottle of margs.  what you don't have this at your desk?  the girl in the office next door has a huge bottle of whiskey.  and there's always beer in the fridge downstairs.

this is completely NORMAL.

i found this blog today and this post.  which totally hit home for me.  i love it!!!

It’s okay to not be okay all the time.  And here’s the funny thing: once you accept that it’s okay to not be okay, suddenly you feel SO MUCH BETTER. The haze clears, you cut yourself some much deserved slack, and you’re finally able to drop-kick that perfectionism nymph who’s been calling your name and whispering that everything needs to be perfect if you don’t want to fail. Because guess what? She’s an asshole. And guess what else? She’s wrong.

so anyways, i made it through yesterday.  mostly with chelsea's help in reminding me that she's always going to talk because my life is way more exciting than hers.  ha.  ok maybe she put it a LITTLE differently, but that was the jist of it.  thank you sista.

SO - let's get to the positive of this awesome friday!!

first off - massages at work today!!

and these two little babies.  gah!  could they look any more alike in this picture?  i LOVE it!!

same chin.  same eyes.  same smile.  same nose.  same eyebrows.  same cheeks.  seriously!!

and miss stella did the sweetest thing ever last night.  she bought us and papa ice cream.  it was ADORABLE.  she brought her 'wallet', paid the lady and every thing.  she was SO proud!!  it was adorable.

we then came home and enjoyed a floor tent and lots of giggles.  GREAT way to end the way!

today the sun is shining and it's supposed to be like in the 60s this weekend!!  there's a good chance you might find me at the winery with my bff (and maybe terri too)!!  which totally has me in the spring colors mood.  stella and i are rocking some matching pink nails.  and i pulled out the mint green and gold.  perfect spring combo.

clearly i look THRILLED to be dealing with the city and permits again today.......

oh and i made steph's chicken taco chili.  lawd.  MAKE IT TOMORROW.  i'd say today but you should go to a fish fry today.  it's SO good.  and SO easy.  stella ate the shit outa it too!!

just a note - i didn't drain any of the cans, it's a little soupy for my liking.  so you might want to drain each of the cans a bit.  but regardless - make it!

SO - come on 1:15 massage time!  4:00 go time.  and 6:00 birthday party time!
