Meet Christine.  She is a new Momma to an adorable little boy.  I feel like every time I am with Christine she does something hilarious.  And you will soon find out she is kind of a clepto....ha, so careful if you invite her over and she has had a few too many to drink.  Baha.  Anyways, she is always a good time and genuinely nice to everyone.  I remember meeting her and never once feeling out of place or awkward, she was just so welcoming.  So without further ado......

Age: 28
Number of Kid(s): 1
Age of kid(s): 19 weeks old!
Number of desired kids:  I'd like 2 or 3. I always thought I'd love to have a big family, but sometimes I see these mom's with 3+ kids and they seem frantic! Ask me again in a year or so.
Natural (epidural?) or C-Section:  Natural. I was induced 10 days after my due date. All in all, a fairly easy experience that lasted about 9 hours. We got to the hospital at 7:30 in the morning and he was here at 4 that afternoon. I took some pain medicine in the morning that made me crazy. I was seeing smurfs and telling everyone who would listen that "people would pay for this stuff!" LOL. Epidural? Yes please!
Breast, Formula, or both: Both. I breastfed/pumped for the first 3 months of my son's life. I wasn't able to produce as much milk as he was capable of eating, so I had to supplement with formula. For the first three months, he had about half formula and half breastmilk. We have now transitioned to all formula. I can't wait for the doctor's okay for some real food - he is a big/tall boy and that milk doesn't always seem to do the trick.
Cloth or Regular:  Regular. We've had good luck with Pamper's Swaddlers and Target brand. No diaper rashes yet!
SAHM or Work (doing what?):  SAHM. Before my son was born, I was working at Saint Louis University as an Academic Advisor. I loved my job and coworkers, but decided to make a change once he arrived (and I was tired of spending 2 hours in the car everyday!). It is so nice to watch him grow and change every day!
Something that people don’t know about you:  Anytime I go out with friends, I usually come home with a "souvenir" from the night. A bottle of ketchup, a cool beer mug, signs and other silly things like that! Perhaps my biggest (and most memorable) find was the Christmas wreath I brought home from the a few years back. There is even a classy photo of me that night wearing it like a necklace. Bahahaha... Now that I'm a parent, I guess I'll probably slow down on my collection! :)
Your biggest parenting secret:  I'm still pretty new to this parenting thing, so I'm not sure how many secrets I have... One thing that we do on an almost daily basis is play music. I have noticed that if he is fussy or it is time for bed, loud music and being swayed/rocked will zonk him out. I'm talking about current music which is awesome for me because I get tired of all the soft lullabies! Now that he's getting older, I even turn music like Girl Talk and Nelly on and dance to get a laugh out of him! He just stares at me and smiles. Oh, and he seems to enjoy my version of Yankee Doodle and Your a Grand Ol' Flag - he he. Whatever it takes to make baby happy I will do! :)

The best piece of parenting advice you have ever been given:  At my baby shower, guests were asked to write down advice for us. One of my friends gave us this advice, "If you remain calm and cool, your son will too." Babies can definitely read your mood. When my son is having a freak out, I take a deep breath and try to remember this advice and he usually calms down as I do.

I am with you 100% on the parenting advice.  I tell myself that ALL the time.  When I am frantic, Stella can TOTALLY tell and it's just BAD.  I just step back, take a deep breath and it's like wow, everyone is calming down.  Amen to that sister!!  Baha, and TOTALLY making you sing Your a Grand Ole Flag next time we see each other out and about.  Hilarious.  Oh the things we do as Mommies that we never though we would do.  Thanks again Christine!!
