Heading Home

We should be released today around 11:00.  YAY!  I love the amazing care you get at the hospital but man do you feel like you are in prison (not that I have any idea what that is like).  I don't think I have left this hospital room once.  Crazy.  So here's an updated.
We had a pretty relaxing afternoon yesterday.  Being second time parents is funny.  You don't freak out about everything that you see.  Unlike the first time.  Omg, is that a rash, what is that.  Omg, is that a scratch, how did he get that.  Omg, how long has that bottle been out, 45 minutes?  Throw it away.  Ha, I have caught myself telling the nurse oh I just opened that a little bit ago.  Little does she know its totally over an hour.  Ha, baby hasn't mind.  Josh left about 2:00 to go get Big Sister from the sitters.  While he was gone my old roomie came up to love all over us.  Ha, ok, really just Henry.  Crazy to think she had a baby just 9 weeks ago.  It seems as if she left the parking lot and Josh and Stella pulled in.  And bring on the tears.  I couldn't WAIT to see her.  Josh walked in with her and her eyes just lit up.  My heart was so full and the tears just started flowing.  It's clear, I can't have another baby.  No way could I do this to TWO kids, let alone just one.
Happy Sister and Momma.  See, can't even tell I was crying.  So then we tried the whole, look what Daddy has thing....
Yeah, not so much.  Her attention span was about 10 seconds and she was down.  We are trying out best to say, careful, easy, be gentle, and not no.  Because Ms. Sensitive HATES that word.  She is a pro though at bringing you his bottle no matter if you want it or not.  Ha, so don't set it down, she will pick it right back up and try to put it in brother's mouth,
Then we tried this approach.  Which worked a little bit better until she decided she REALLY wanted to check him out.
He didn't like that too much and his crying kinda freaked her out and so she got her butt out of that chair pretty quick.  So then we just let her be and she kept us entertained in the room until some guests started showing up.  Then she just got BAD.  You could tell she needed a nap like something fierce and so it was time for her and Daddy to head home.  She made it until 7:00 which was good!!  She screamed all the way down the hall, ugh, so sad.  E&E saw them in the parking lot and they said she wasn't crying anymore but still had monster tears flowing down her face.  Poor thing.  Josh called me when they got on 270, which honestly doesn't even take 5 minutes and he said she was already sleeping.  Rough life of a Big Sister.
Henry and I enjoyed guests of some Hickey girls, my Mom, my older sister who came in from Springfield and E&E.  He got all kinds of good loving last night.  Then him and I enjoyed some snuggle time and I sent him to the nursery around 10:30.  I got some sleep and he was brought back to me bright and early at 6:30 this morning.  And our favorite nurse loaded us up!  This my friends, is why I LOVE St. Johns.
That is just row one.  There are PLENTY behind all of that.  Ahhhhh, thank you secret awesome nurse.  lol.  So now we are just enjoying The Today Show, waiting on breakfast to be delivered and waiting on Daddy to get here.
Once we are released we can't wait to head to pick up sister and REALLY be a family of four thrown into the real world.  Josh called this morning and said Stella woke up and went through the house yelling for Mommy, then proceeded to throw herself on the floor and cry.  Poor girl.  I promise to be home soon Sis!!  Right after I make my appointment to get my tubes tied.........lol.
Have a great Thursday.  What in the world happened to this weather.  Holy HEAT.  And hello September!!  Wow.  To think I was supposed to have a baby today!

Such a great feeling when you're finally home with your whole family! Stella will feel even more comfortable when she's on her own turf (and well rested, haha.) Have so much fun soaking these first days in!
