Pound Puppy

Dear God, WHAT did I do?
I am sooooooooo sorry.  But please, whatever I did, send me a sign or something.
Sunday night I got NO sleep because I believe Stella is teething again (PTL only 6 more teeth to get) either that or someone put a 5 hour energy in her milk.  And then last night my dog pisses all over my bed.
Ahhhh, why!!  I'm sorry.  I take back everything I said about, well, ANYTHING.
Just give me one normal night.
Pretty please.
Amen.

Yep, you heard that right.  My dog pissed on my bed last night.  And Ms. Abbie got threatened.  This mean Momma looked at her and said, "Do you wana go to the pound!"  Trust me, it would never happen, but last night it was CLOSE!  Heather, I think God is giving you a break this week since it's DAB week for you and he is sending ALL the karma my way.  Anyone out there who is thinking about getting a dog remember they are NOTHING like children, THEY ARE WORSE!  Ugh.  Ok, I really do love you Abbie and I would never get rid of you but what in the world is your deal lately.  You are A.D.D. dog striving for attention and I don't get it.  Ahhhhh!!  I believed when I was pregnant with Stella that dogs can sense change, but I am a 100% preacher now that they REALLY can.  Ayi yi yi.  So our dog sleeps with us.  Yes I know, mistake #1.  But when you have a little cute pup crying in the kitchen her first few nights at home you just want to lay in bed and cry, but you don't you go and get her and let her sleep with you.  Right?  Ha, wrong.  I need to write a dog book, I swear.  So for the past three years Abbie has slept with us.  She has never ONCE done what she did last night.  So it's about 9:30 and we are getting ready to go to bed (yes we are old people).  Josh picks Abbie up and puts her on the bed.  I am already under the covers laying on my side about to pass out when, Abbie squats down and just starts peeing.  Ahhhhhh - WTF!  I don't think Josh and I could say anything our jaws were on the ground.  I swatted her butt but all that made her do was pee and walk.  So yep it got on the pillows and everything.  By the time she made it off the bed her tail was between her legs and she just looked at us like, "whoops!"  Ahhh, no whoops, more like "what in the hell did you just do that for!!!"  So we stripped the bed ALL the way down to the mattress, and started laundry.  And Abbie, well she spent the night in the kitchen.  Alone.  It MAY just been her new home soon.  So again, you hear that big guy upstairs?!?  Whenever you want to return my semi-normal of a life back, that would be awesome.  Much love.

She could have a bladder infection. That would be my bet if she does it again. Plain yogurt in her dog food would cure her if she does.

Oh no!!! Bad Abbie!!!!! Looks like she might start living where our dogs live, the basement!!!! Lol I just don't want the dogs on the furniture, especially when we sleep.
Hopefully you get a break tonight!!!

We adopted Coco from Belleville, IL Humane Society and I tell her when she is really pissing me off that I am going to take her back to IL. And Coco sleeps with us too. Its like having a third person in bed with us, but she is the best cuddler ever! :)

heather - i never thought of it being something wrong. i honestly thought she just hated us or was mad at us about something. i will keep that in mind.

kim - yeah the basement is looking better and better for her. ha.

Katie - too funny. PTL ours words are stronger than our actions. lol.

Oh my gosh, this is the very reason why I'm glad we have an excuse for no pets. (Can't where we rent unless we pay more.) Sometimes a dog sounds like such a fun idea, and then I remember I have two kids at home, haha.

Hey don't feel guilty! both my dogs slept with me for the longest time but I got tired of both of them hiking their leg up and peeing on my crap... so now they both sleep in kennels in my kitchen... And they are even kenneled up when I'm not home. I honestly just can't trust either of them to be loose and with good reason too!

I know this is late put we had the same problem with DeJa..I thought Eli was gonna kill her!

Right before Loreli was born and after I went back to work. It was a rough couple times that we had to sleep on the couch/floor.
I think she knew something was up when I was about to have Loreli and then not sure if she was mad at us too...dogs you never know!

She always slept with us and Eli wanted to break her of it so we did and we did great...but after I had Loreli I couldn't lay down becasue of the trama I had so I slept in the recliner for 2 months and Eli let DeJa back in...well when I came back to bed I said she is gonna learn to sleep in her bed and for alittle while it was rough but now she doesn't even think of sleeping with us...we got her a super nice doggie bed and it lays right next to our bed.

We did take her to the vet and got meds for a bladder infection...they helped but she should still do it sometime...Doc was pretty sure she was just mad at us or he said that she may have something wrong that she couldn't hold her pee....we still don't know what it was but she don't do it anymore! PTL!!!
