Update

Well, I'm sad to report that Stella did not get her ears pierced last night!!  The doctor suggested we wait a week for her shots to heal and get into her system.  I truthfully think that's just a BS answer because she is well, very opinionated, and kind of gave me a look when I said we would like to get her ears pierced.  I really think it's time to look for a new pediatrician.  But whatever....
Anyways, Stella is now 17 pounds and is 26.5 inches long!  In the 75th percentile!  Growing like a good healthy baby!
I had to fill out some questionnaires yesterday while I was at the doctor.  I asked what it was for and she said testing for autistic characteristics.  I just thought, man, I think autism is something that is so overrated.  When I was younger I don't think I could tell you a single person in all of the 4 schools that I attended that has autism.  Now it's not uncommon to have a least one autistic child in your class.  Is it really autism or is it that the child is ridiculously spoiled and never had to do anything for themselves and therefore they have no idea how to interact with other child and play.  Or maybe your child is just different, and you can't admit it so you at least give it a name and call it autistic.  I pray everyday for a healthy baby and I will accept her for who she is.  I hope to never have to classify her ways as something.  Anyways, I will get off of my soap box.  But I just wanted to throw that paper in the trash after she told me what it was for.

I have been trying to get a picture of Stella's teefers, but her tongue as we all know is always out, so it's been hard.  I promise as soon as I can snap a good one, I will post it!

Oh and Happy Birthday today to Kim Luke (even though you will always been Kim Rarden to me) and my cousin Beth Ervin!!  Hope you both have a great day!!

Was searching for a GF's blog with similar name and came across yours. Read where you're thinking about piercing your dd's ears soon.

We did it at 6 mos old after procrastingating doing it earlier. I was uncertain, so I asked our ped. Unlike yours, our ped encouraged me to go ahead when mommy could care for them.

I think you're a smart mommy for doing it now. Your mommy intuition is telling you earlier is better and I'd just go ahead and do it now.

I had the urge after seeing so many babies and little girls with cute little pierced earrings.
Our ped had her little girl done at a month and gave us some suggestions for moms having their dd's ears pierced.

Write me an e-mail if you would like our ped's suggestions and I'll send them to you. It will make it easier for both of you.
