i have to give some major shout outs to jon.

not only does he go to school full time.

oh yeah, and maintains a perfect 4.0.

he works full time too.

second shift.

which means we don't get to see much of him.

well unless you're henry and you don't believe in bed times.

he usually ends up greeting jon at the door at 9:45 p.m. when he gets home.

ayi.

and when he gets home at night he usually showers and does homework until late.

usually coming to bed around midnight or so.

and gets back up to do that all again.

five days a week.

of course december is a busy busy month.

christmas shopping, christmas parties, school programs, finals, etc.

jon didn't hesitate for a second to ask the kids if they wanted him to be at their school program.

of course without hesitation they both said, "yes!"

i just love that he didn't come to me and say, "do you want me to take off work." 

he went straight to them and asked them."

stella's concert was at 2:00 in the afternoon.

jon goes to work at 1:40, he asked for two hours off so he could be there.

for stella.

and the hug she gave him after her performance was the best!

henry's concert was at 7:00 in the evening.

jon took a half day that day, got off at 5:40 and had enough time to shower and make it to the concert with us.

as a family.

and henry was just as happy to all walk in together.

i just love the dedication jon has to the important things in his life.

yes work is important, but work isn't life.

and jon knows the difference and knows where to draw the line.

i love the dedication jon has to school.

he has committed 100% to making a better life for us and has proven that with his 4.0 GPA.

and also by landing an amazing internship this upcoming semester at an amazing company.

AND that means he will be home - every night.

i don't even think you know how excited i am to have dinner with him every night!!!

and i love how dedicated he is to stella and henry.

he knows that they understand it's not about the money, it's about the memories.

thank you jon, for everything you do.

we love you more than you will ever know!!
