Weekend Wrap Up

Wow, it's been quite the weekend.  Momma is whooped.  And I didn't even go out this weekend.  However, I'm pretty sure I had a two day headache from blogger night out.  Whoops, but it was a freaking blast.  You can read about it here and here.  Anyways on to the weekend.  Friday we had plans to go over to some friends house before the home football game but none of the kids in my house wanted to sleep.  And for all of you with kids, no naps doesn't equal the most fun kids.  So I laid down the law and said we are NOT going until these kids have at least slept for a half hour.  So of course once Daddy fell asleep on the couch (ugh) I packed up the kids in the car and we went for a drive.  Thank you Prairie Road because I can take that road and my kids will be out asap.  So by 6:40 ish I was back home with two sleeping kids.  We gave it until about 7:30 and then woke everyone up and headed to the game.  Josh of course stayed at our friends house with Henry and I headed over to the game with Stella.  She just LOVES the games.  It's so cute.  And we got to see Kacie and Brent's niece perform at half time.  She was adorable.  Red Bud won which is always good and we all headed home.  Of course since no one under the age of two thinks its necessary to sleep in this house we were up until at least 10:30.  Oh well.
Saturday of course Josh was off to work.  We needed to go grocery shopping like something fierce and so I said to hell with trying to make something, we are going to CK for breakfast.  We called Nana and away we went.  We got back and headed for a walk.  Stella insists on picking out her jacket and always wearing sunglasses when we walk.
Bahahaha.  On the next episode of what not to wear....
Green and grey striped pans, cheetah jacket and pink and green sunglasses.  Cute baby, cute.
I don't even remember if we got naps in or not, but I highly doubt it.  All I remember is Josh calling saying he is going deer hunting after work and didn't know when he would be home.  This my friends, starts my frustration.  Whatever I don't care if you hunt, but there has to be some ground rules.  I won't even get into it.  Whatever, he came home, showered (which ps who showers BEFORE they go hunting?) and was gone.  Didn't hold a kid, play with them nothing.  Which just pissed me off.  So we said to hell with it and just went on with our day.  Nana got Henry a chair at a yard sale and it was the highlight of our afternoon.
Everyone took their turn sitting in it.  lol.  And yes, that's Henry, my almost 7 week old who is wearing 3 month clothes.  Bahaha.  Oh Henry, you are a true boy, you LOVE to eat.  lol.
After we had dinner and baths we found A Bugs Life on TV and did a lot of snuggling....
and a lot of snoozing.....
zonked.out. <3
Once Heni was down for the night Stella and I cozied up in my bed and watched Bridesmaids.  Yes I know, great movie to watch with your 20 month old.  lol.
Mommy brought her double chin to bed with her.  Ugh, nasty.
By time Daddy came home we were all out for the night.  And of course he was up again Sunday morning to go hunting.  It wasn't so bad besides the fact that everyone was up by 6:30 and by 9:00 we were having one of those cry parties.  You know, Henry is crying so Stella thinks she needs to cry too.  And vice versa.  Good times.  So I thought maybe a car ride would do the trick.  Wrong, screamed bloody murder.  Again, good times.  Not even Lady Gaga could do the trick.  Momma was at the end of her rope, and also coffee less.  Which is never good.  Daddy got one of those calls that goes something like, it would be in your best interested to get home NOW.  Yeah that phone call went out around 9:45, little does Daddy care because he was home around 11:30.  Oh Daddy, when will you learn.  Of course by then I had Stella sleeping and Henry content.  So I get the whole, it doesn't look like chaos to me talk, when he walks in the door.  I think Momma needs a video camera for Christmas, Daddy needs a reality check.  UGH!  Once Daddy finally decided to take a kid from Mommy and I got to change my underwear for the day (ok we all know that's a lie, more like take a pee alone) I was much better.  I took my frustration out on some coupons, made a shopping list, changed Stella's clothes and we headed to Target.  I had saving money and a Pumpkin Spice Latte on.my.mind.  I had my biggest savings yet, $50!!  Holla.  So I was for sure treating myself to the PSL and oh em gee it was worth the $4.08.  Thank you Starbucks, thank you.  Once we got home and tried for naps and had no success after an hour I just gave up.  Aunt Lacie came over for a bit when she got in town.  PTL for Aunt Lacie and her iphone.  Stella was happy go lucky for a good hour.  Horrible, I know.
And now it's 8:00 p.m. I am sitting in my bed typing this post with Stella passed out next to me and Henry and Josh wide awake enjoying the Cardinals game in the living room.  Josh of course is headed to the deer stand bright and early in the morning.  I think I may just have some Kahlua in the coffee in the morning.
Say a prayer for me.
This is my last week of maternity leave.  Bittersweet, but ready!

You deserve Kahlua in your coffee for sure!
Yay for going back to work. You will miss the babies, but adult conversation will make up for it. :)

There are some days when I wish Ryan was a hunter for the fact that I would have an excuse to do things but I think you just reminded me of why I love that he isn't!!

And you weren't kidding when you said that Henry was getting chunky! lol He is too damn cute though...and his sister gets cuter and cuter every day!
