Weekend Wrap Up!
whew – we had such a busy weekend!!
Friday night we all met up at Creative
Bent to view our wedding pictures.
We are in love with them!! So so happy.
Anna of course knocked it out of the
park.
But we didn’t expect anything less.
Once we got home we relaxed and had some
time to make dinner and enjoy the evening with each other.
Our favorite baby sitter Karlee came over
to spend the night since Jon and I were leaving for Nashville early in the am.
Man that was such a good decision!
Of course the kids slept in until 10 a.m.
for the baby sitter.
They would have been wide awake at 7:30
for us.
How does that always happen?!?
Like no joke when my kids spend the night
at my sister Lacie’s they are sleeping by like 8:30, no one pees the bed and
they sleep in the next morning.
What am I doing wrong?!
Anyways, side tracked.
Jon and I headed out around 7 a.m. and
made it to Nashville around 11:30.
The drive really isn’t bad at all!
Just takes a long time when you travel
with my bladder and I have to pee every half hour.
Ayi.
Once we got in town of course we got lost.
Seriously our phones hate us and never
cooperate.
We ended up in some shady part of town that
was about 15 minutes in the wrong direction.
Ha – once we finally made it to our
destination we were back on track.
We rented a house with four other
couples.
It was amazing!!
Totally makes me want to buy the bed and
breakfast in town even more.
Everyone was getting hungry so we googled
up the best BBQ place in town and it ended up being about 4 minutes away.
Off we went.
We did the touristy thing, celebrated and
had a really great time!
More to come later this week!
We got in around 3 a.m. and headed out
that morning at 8 a.m.
Let’s just say we are NOT as young as we
used to be.
Whew – we were so tired!!
but we made it.
but we made it.
We headed home and the kids were already
off on their next adventure.
Cookie baking with Jon’s mom.
So we stopped there, enjoyed some treats
and then headed home with the kids.
A quick shower and we were off again.
See what I mean – BUSY!
But we had a tradition to withhold.
So we headed to pick up nana.
Off to brewery lights at AB, some ice
cream at ted drewes and the cutest little neighborhood on candy cane lane.
We had fun, I promise.
They're just being silly.
And of course rain, it always, always
rains.
But hey, that’s tradition so we embrace
it!
We made it home just in time for bedtime.
Today starts the kids last full week of
school before Christmas break.
We have concerts and parties and all
kinds of fun stuff planned.
Have a good week!!
