Two Years Ago Today....
two years ago today i was driving to work.
no word on when i was going to have this little boy growing in my belly.
i was right on time, just getting to the end of my 40 weeks.
i wanted to make it until September 2nd to have him, so him and Stella would both have birthdays on the 2nd.
AND because i wanted him to have a half birthday SO bad.
i was driving to work minding my own business and my phone rang. it was my OBGYN.
hey cassie, doctor so and so had a death in the family and he needs to leave town on thursday for a funeral. we are going to schedule you to be induced tomorrow.
TOMORROW!
like in less than 24 hours?!
HOLY SMOKES.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE my OB and there is no one else i'd rather have deliver my baby.
so i said, alright, let's do this!
see you at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow!
and that was that.
i went to work, told them i was having a baby tomorrow, finished up what i needed to do, called all the people i needed to call, cried a bit because my son would in fact NEVER have a half birthday, and braced myself for what the next day would hold.
it's been two years and i can remember every single detail of the day before, the day of and of his birth.
it was SO easy. so laid back. just like this little boy!
here's a sneak peak of henry's 2nd birthday photo shoot.
enjoy. it's adorable.
he looks so big!
Henry Walter
tomorrow's the big day! i have a slide show all ready to go. i'm taking the day off to enjoy it with the birthday boy (and sister too of course!)
pancakes at CK are calling our name and fun all day sounds PERFECT!

:)
the pictures are SO cute!!! His smile is too precious.
what an awesome post about your boy. But I don't understand this half bday business. What is the difference if he hab been born at on the 2nd? A half bday is a half bday no matter when your bday is right? Happy bday, Henry.
Happy Happy Birthday Henry!
